Gangnam Style is a new phenomenon in the K-pop music industry. It is a music video filled with movement, excitement, and dance, accompanied by invisible horses (similar to the music video for PPAP that uses imaginary apples and pineapples) performed by singer Park Ji-sung, also known as PSY. It is one of the top 10 viral videos on YouTube with 4.6 billion views as of February 2023. Both the music and the music video went viral in August 2012 and gained global fame.
Story (Part One):
Gangnam Style, or the Gangnam style, is a coined term that represents the lifestyle in the Gangnam district of Seoul.
The people of Gangnam place great importance on their appearance and follow the latest fashion trends.
Psy sees the Gangnam district as similar to Beverly Hills and California.

In one of his interviews, Psy had mentioned that he enjoys the sense of humor in claiming to have the Gangnam lifestyle in his music, while presenting a low-level fashion and persona in his music videos, appearance, and lyrics.
This song actually refers to those individuals who strive hard to portray themselves in a way that they truly are not.
