The first animation in this exciting playlist is called Scrambled. It tells the story of a girl who misses her train and sits down at the station, absorbed in playing a mobile game. Suddenly, a magical Rubik’s cube appears from a corner of the hall, catching her attention…
Written and directed by Bastiaan Schravendeel, this beautiful animation has won 15 awards.
The second film, Blik, follows a young boy who has just moved to a new neighborhood and experiences his first crush — on an older girl living next door. What makes this animation stand out is its unique, challenging style. None of the characters have faces; instead, they resemble wooden puppets from traditional puppet shows. Despite the lack of facial expressions, the director skillfully conveys emotions to the audience.
The final piece is about a young girl who sets up a stall at a street market to sell storybooks she created herself. As she begins telling her stories, the characters from her imagination come to life one by one.
So, what do you think? Did you enjoy the animations?
